She holds a BA in Interdisciplinary Sciences from Tour College, NYC and Master of Divinity from New York Theological Seminary, NYC.
She is in trained Domestic Violence and At-Risk Youths.
She holds a certificate of United Missionary Baptist Association Leadership Training School in Christian Education, NY. She was a teacher in the Women's Auxiliary Dept.
Rev. Reid is the first female ordained by the 75 year old Yadkin -Davie Association, NC.
Rev. Reid was active in the Civil Rights Movement and many Community organizations while living in New York where she was member of First Union BC, Bronx, NY.
She was honored by the Borough President of the Bronx Fernando Ferrer and the NY State Assemblyman Roberto Ramirez for exemplary community service. She was a member of the Northwest Bronx Clergy and Coalition for more than 10years.
She founded Hannah's Ministry a Women Study Group that studies women in the Bible and African-American and Third World Women. Hannah's Ministry began in NY and is now functioning in Davie County. The Ministry also educates women around issues that affect women such as gender and abuse.
